Dr. Perron is a physician specializing in public health and preventive medicine, and an adjunct professor for the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine at the University of Montreal. He leads the only medical research team in North America studying the physical and mental health impact of bed bugs. He is the chief medical officer for the Urban Environment and Healthy Lifestyle division of Montreal’s public health department. He also does clinical work at the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Clinic located in the University of Montreal’s Hospital Center. His field of work focuses on health related outcomes associated with housing, transport, urban design, physical and chemical risk factors, and emergency preparedness.
